So I fly out to the Netherlands from India day after tomorrow :-D Very excited.
Especially as I'm also doing Graspop, Metallica, Dream Theater & Mark Knopfler in this trip.
I have a couple of last minute questions, was hoping the forum would be able to help me out:
1. How strict is the bag size policy? On the site, I see the max allowed size is 30 x 21 x 10 cm, which seems ridiculously small to me, especially since I plan to carry a poncho. Was hoping to get a bag that is marginally bigger than this (40 x 30 x 15) - but don't want it to end up in a locker. What's your advice?
2. On the Pinkpop Travel page, I see an advisory for Heerlen station: "Please note: due to renovations at Heerlen station, there is limited platform capacity there. Switching to this station is not desired. If you are traveling to Heerlen or further afield, you should preferably board a (direct) intercity (NS) in Landgraaf. If Heerlen is your final station or if you are traveling in the direction of Maastricht, you should preferably use the local train (Arriva). Please note, always follow the instructions of the staff".
At the risk of asking something obvious, does this mean Landgraaf -> Heerlen by NS; and Heerlen -> Maastricht by Arriva? (My Airbnb is at Maastricht).
3. Related to above: A return ticket on the ns.nl mobile app will do for the whole journey, including checking in and out of Arriva/NS at the stations?
4. Strangely, I have heard nothing about Pinkpop coins / tokens. Where does one purchase them from? Strange that they're not being sold online, most other festivals I've seen do that (even the ones here in India) and even encourage people to buy online with cheaper rates.
5. Recommended footwear for Pinkpop? (Esp given that the weather says we might see showers)
Thanks again, and sorry for what might be some basic questions.
