Øyafestivalen (NO) heeft Pulp en PJ Harvey aangekondigd voor woensdag 7 augustus en de 25ste verjaardag van Øya! Je kan slechter beginnen.
Vanaf nu tot vrijdag 8.00 kan je met 100 NOK (ongeveer 8,5 euro, die koers is snel gedaald...) korting krijgen op je woensdagticket. Daarna betaal je de reguliere prijs. Nu is het al €114 met administratiekosten, dus dan wordt het toch ook wel een aanzienlijk bedrag voor een dagticket.
Site heeft ook een enorme lik verf gekregen trouwens. Ziet er nu ook keurig uit.

Amon Amarth
We are thrilled to reveal that Swedish death metal titans of Amon Amarth will be storming our main stage in 2024! Known for their crushing riffs and epic Viking themes, Amon Amarth's live shows are not to be missed. Their powerful performance is sure to be one of the highlights of the festival. Get ready to raise your horns and roar along to classic Amon Amarth anthems when these Guardians of Asgaard unleash their unbridled fury at Midgardsblot 2024!

Bel Canto
The Norwegian elektronika pioneers, Bel Canto, will perform at our 2024 edition of Midgardsblot! Known for their antarctic soundscapes that often blends folk music from around the world and the haunting vocals of Anneli Drecker, Bel Canto is sure to deliver an unforgettable set.
UNLEASHED
We are preparing the fields of Borre for an onslaught of brutal death metal as Unleashed takes the stage! As pioneers of the Swedish death metal scene, Unleashed has been delivering sheer brutality since their formation, and have been a force to reckon with ever since.
Brace yourself for a sonic massacre as Unleashed descends upon Midgardsblot!
Ereb Altor
Ereb Altor will transfer us to the realms of Norse mythology when they take the stage! They will bring their epic Viking doom, characterized by a fusion of black metal. Their music carries a sense of grandeur and melancholic beauty, reminiscent of the great Viking metal era of Bathory's Hammerheart.
Lumsk
Finally Lumsk will weave their intricate musical tapestry, telling tales of Norse mythology and nature's wonders, at Midgardsblot. We can’t wait to experience the beauty and power of their performances as they showcase their incredible music.
Fen
Fen is renowned for their poetic lyrics, which draw inspiration from nature, folklore, and ancient history. Their music balances raw aggression with moments of reflection and introspection, creating an evocative and transcendent experience for their listeners.
Eldrim
The Norwegian band has deep roots in Vestfold and the Norwegian cultural heritage. Their music takes listeners on a journey through time and place, conveying melodies and sounds as they might have been heard a thousand years ago. Using their homemade instruments, Eldrim creates a unique atmosphere that invites a melancholic, inner journey.
Opening Ritual: Folket Bortafor Nordavinden
Folket Bortafor Nordavinden is about sharing.
It is about togetherness, unity and healing.
The opening ritual is built upon the elements of a Viking Age blot, using wooden statues representing the ancient gods and goddesses and sacrificial animal blood. But just as everyone is welcome at Midgardsblot, the Blot Ceremony is non-religious—it is as deeply personal as it is communal, and you are welcome to participate in any way you feel inspired to, calling upon any gods or other beings you are connected to, or simply strengthening your connection with other humans and nature.

Es erfordert eben ein wenig Geduld nach Perlen zu tauchen. Lasst Euch da nicht verwirren von diesen ganzen superfrühen „Full Line Announcements“ der großen Festivals. Der Booking Prozess birgt immer auch erstmal Enttäuschungen, die einen dann auf bessere Ideen bringen! Derzeit stehen da illustre Legenden und aufstrebende Newcomer*innen, aus denen wir ein internationales, exklusives & diverses Line-Up basteln werden. VOLARadar Festival (VK) heeft zojuist dit bekendgemaakt. Beste bovenkant voor het progressieve genre.
Sowieso een heel nette bovenkant met Dirty Loops, Plini en Vola. Volgens mij herhalen ze Euroblast van twee jaar geleden, maar da's ook prima. Met Ithaca en Conjurer onderaan doe je dat ook echt niet onaardig.VOLA
