Van Metallica is er wel al een leak voor 2025 (een stadion ofzo dacht ik), en tijdens de huidige tour hebben ze festivals gedaan.

Allemaal waar maar hetzelfde kon ook wel gezegd worden over Maneskin dit jaar, uiteindelijk blijken ze dan toch niet genoeg kwalitatief materiaal te hebben om die headliner positie volledig te vullen. Nu ken ik zelf niet zoveel van Fred Again maar vorig jaar deed die een uur in de Barn, kan die op dit moment dat main stage headliner slot vullen op een manier die ook de toeschouwers die geen fan zijn gedurende 90 minuten weet te boeien ?
Pukkelpop zal binnenkort wel al een indicatie geven hoe dat zit vermoed ik.
Ik zou het top vinden moest Olivia Rodrigo doorkomen, toch een van m'n grootste guilty pleasures van de afgelopen jaren. Nuja, guilty niet echt, maar als 33-jarige blanke man behoor ik toch niet direct tot haar doelgroep. Maar heeft wel twee ijzersterke platen gemaakt en het zou leuk zijn moest ze een (tussen)stap zetten met de major festivals in plaats van direct door te groeien naar een stadionact.

Dolly Parton looks a bit misplaced at Werchter in my opinion. Shania Twain/Kylie; I do not know what to expect from them at Werchter.... Werchter does not have this golden classic act as Glastonbury has.

Kylie stond laatst in een tent, die gaat niet opeens headlinen. No Doubt is dat zo´n grote naam in België? Ik denk dat die eerder bospop en rock zottegem headlinen dan nog een plaats op RW krijgen.

Eens met wat je zegt. Kylie stond verleden jaar in de Barn en is tussendoor niet gegroeid. No Doubt is vooral nostalgie en daarmee een mooie act voor hooguit 19 uur op de main. De Bospop'en van deze wereld kunnen ze perfect headlinen. Sterker nog, dit zou een hele mooie naam zijn voor dat festival.
Leuk idee voor de donderdag maar wel op voorwaarde dat de tenten een stuk beter geprogrammeerd zijn dan dit jaar de zaterdag. Beide acts wil ik wel eens meepakken maar twee popshows volledig achter elkaar vind ik waarschijnlijk te veel van het goede.
Met dat nieuwe album mag Cage The Elephant ook wel weer langskomen!
Vond ze toen ze op het hoofdpodium stonden met System of a Down en Linkin Park in 2017 toch zwaar tegenvallen.
Tom DeLonge is overigens wel terug bij de band, wat het imo beter maakt. Vond ze in het Sportpaleis erg nice (maar wel een biased mening als fan). Ik kan me zeker voorstellen dat ze een hoge spot innemen als ze komen. Ook kijkend naar hun spots op andere festivals en de bekendheid/legacy. Sub of coheadline?
Ik zou het ook zeker geen sterke dag vinden. Alles staat of valt met de brede verdere programmering
No Doubt is moeilijk te peilen aangezien het toch een zeer schaarse boeking is. Maar het is zeker geen zwaargewcht.

Heel mooi lijstje in zijn geheel, maar waarom sommigen heel waarschijnlijk zijn en anderen een goede mogelijkheid, dat snap ik dan weer niet. Waarom is Electric Callboy bijvoorbeeld heel waarschijnlijk? Dit touren dit jaar toch al? En deden nota bene al 2 Belgische majors. Tokio Hotel was niet eens goede mogelijkheid toen ze indertijd wel nog een ding waren.
