AC/DC will be headlining North American festivals next year which will also mark return of singer Brian Johnson to the group.

He said in a social media post: “METALLICA will be headlining all DWP festivals in 2020 including: Sonic Temple, Louder Than Life, Welcome To Rockville, Epicenter, and Aftershock. This includes a new sponsor for all the festivals, Blackened Whisky.

“SLIPKNOT is rumored to be performing at all of these festivals as well but doing a very special double set. One set of fan favorites while the other set will feature the entire new album, We Are Not Your Kind played in full.”

The final headliner for 1 or 2 of these festivals will be none other than AC/DC featuring the return of Brian Johnson on vocals as a part of a full 2020 world tour.

We also expect to see JUDAS PRIEST on several lineups as they celebrate the bands 50th anniversary and have 2 North American runs set for 2020.

Trouwens, radio Veronica lieten vorige week (week 41) laten vallen dat AC/DC samen met The Struts in 2020 gaan touren. Weet niet of ze het weer van het oude Struts bericht had.......

Said is was Big new news.... the DJ said only thing I can think of is the AC/DC rumor .... ??? anybody heard anything ? Said the would be guests and it would be live... might be anything, Crue, but that really ain't new

On Monday (January 20), Australian radio personality Eddie McGuire discussed the possibility of the legendary hard rockers' comeback on his Triple M Melbourne breakfast show.

Eddie said (hear audio below): "My mail is there will be a new album released by AC/DC February/March this year, but also that AC/DC will be touring Australia October/November 2020. And after a lot of work and a lot of technical research, they have been able to get a hearing aid for Brian Johnson, who will be out front. And even Phil Rudd [drums] might be back in the group either playing percussion or drums with Angus [Young, guitar] so that they've got three of — well, not the originals, but three of the old-timers, if you like, back there. They've had a few changes over the journey, but Angus out front, Brian Johnson lead singing, and maybe Phil Rudd, after his issues that he's had in recent times."

Vanwege de corona? Dan zou ik het nog snappen.
Dat zou betekenen dat ze dit jaar echt wel wat op de agenda hadden staan maar dat het dus om begrijpelijke redenen is verplaatst. Begrijp me niet verkeerd maar de geruchten lopen nu al zeker anderhalf jaar dus je zou je kunnen afvragen of ze überhaupt nog iets gingen doen. Dan maar hopen op een nieuw album en tour voor volgend jaar.
