Ik begrijp dat hij in Duitsland groot is, maar vraag me toch af of die in de Benelux zo veel groter is als een Corey Taylor

Dan laat hem maar in Duitsland Dit jaar best vervelende duitse buren gehad op Boneyard. (Excuses voor het over 1 kam strijken)

As a demographic, they're not to be neglected when making these kind of decisions.

Ik weet niet of de groep Duitsers op Graspop zo groot is, dat het een factor vormt bij het boeken van de grootste namen. Die moeten toch in eerste plaats de Belgische, en in tweede plaats de Nederlandse markt aanspreken. Bovendien: een Duitser die iets wil zien wat vooral in Duitsland populair is, zal dat waarschijnlijk op een Duits festival wel kunnen zien? Dus moet Graspop niet juist gewoon een alternatief daarop bieden? Waarom zou een Duitser anders naar België komen? (Mensen uit de grensregio voor wie het gewoon het dichtsbij is daargelaten)

For me, it’s simple really: I think Lindemann would draw a huge crowd, therefore I’d expect him to have a high position on the poster. Not much to debate here, in my opinion.

If he doesn’t draw as much of a crowd, as some are suspecting, he’d be in a lower position. Might also be the case.

I just don’t see how people think of this as ridiculous when Powerwolf is discussed as a headliner in this very thread.

Om dezelfde reden dat mensen Electric Callboy, BMTH niet als headliner zien/zagen: het is hun ding niet OF ze hebben ze nog nooit live gezien

Denk dat Powerwolf wel breder gedragen wordt dan Lindemann solo. Niet dat Powerwolf nou echt hits heeft, maar Lindemann heeft toch ook niks aan hits. Een artiest die solo gaat staat gewoon niet als headliner op Graspop, kijk ook maar naar Bruce Dickinson en Corey Taylor. Denk dat zij beiden wel meer bekendheid hebben met hun solo repertoire dan Lindemann.

Powerwolf speelt ondertussen gewoon in de uitverkochte AFAS met misschien wel meer populariteit dan Lindemann. Is toch gewoon een logische naam om naar headliner te promoveren?

Denk dat Powerwolf wel breder gedragen wordt dan Lindemann solo. Niet dat Powerwolf nou echt hits heeft, maar Lindemann heeft toch ook niks aan hits. Lindemann verkoopt in Belgie dezelfde zaal uit als powerwolf (lotto arena), dat zie ik Bruce of Corey nooit doen. Denk wel dat veel mensen het per se een keer wilden zien en betwijfel of het nu terug zou uitverkopen.
Maar verder ben ik wel helemaal akkoord dat powerwolf een headlinerwaardige band is en Lindemann veel minder.

I think it's simply because Till is more popular in his home country than in the Netherlands/Belgium, While Powerwolf seems to be more popular here than in Germany. In the Netherlands Powerwolf sells out the Afaslive, most metalbands that manage to do that are headlining Graspop. Till with his solo act played in the 013 which is only half of the capacity of afaslive.

Powerwolf kan best wel invloed hebben op de dagticket-verkoop. Zou perfect als nieuwe headliner kunnen.

Zoals het al gezegd is geweest en ik dit 100% volg: Solo acts zullen niet rap een headline spot krijgen. Tenzij deze veel hits hebben gelijk Ozzy/Alice Cooper etc..
Bruce Dickinson, Corey Taylor, Lindemann, noem maar op... hebben dit niet.

Dat debat ga ik ook helemaal niet aan. Het gaat me puur om hoe groot de invloed van de Duitse markt op de boekingen van Graspop is. Die lijkt mij namelijk helemaal niet zo groot. Dat hij in België ook gewoon de Lotto Arena uitverkoopt is veel relevanter voor wat zijn positie zou zijn op Graspop. Ook al ben ik het met je eens dat hij er waarschijnlijk niet zal staan.

Die welles Lindeman, nietes Lindemann is toch weeral een hulp voor de paginacount.
