Zet 'm toch even hier neer, want het viel me op bij The Pineapple Thief, waar ik op zich wel heen wil alleen tegen de prijs zit aan te hikken. De 'normale' bands kosten je nu ook al een godsvermogen. Zij kosten €38,50, Rival Sons €36, Midwinter Prog dus iets minder dan zeventig euro, Beartooth €42, Blackberry Smoke €40. Het gaat allemaal weer de goede kant op.

zou het een impact gehad hebben dat livenation al onze zalen heeft opgekocht en de zalen die ze niet hebben ook gewoon hun eigen tours inplannen?

Hadden in Vorst moeten staan tijdens die tour met Igorrr, werd uiteindelijk gedowngraded naar KC. Denk dat velen afhaken bij het idee om hen in een grotere zaal aan het werk te zien. En Doodseskader als support zal ook meespelen, die kunnen volgens mij al AB Box op zichzelf vullen.

Denk ook dat die tour gewoon al was het maar voor die ene show amenra als headliner had moeten zetten.

Weer een knaller van het 20 buck spin label! Een aanrader voor death doom én prog liefhebbers, deze split van twee voortreffelijke artiesten: Dream Unending en Worm!

Ik vond beartooth heel leuk op Pukkelpop maar ik vond en vind €42,- veel te veel voor een band die nog niet echt is doorgebroken

Ja, het is inderdaad wel juist, maar wel leuk te bedenken dat een Rob Halford dus al ruim 20 jaar voorbij de 50 is

Priest & Halford was (in tegenstelling laatste x Graspop) fantastisch op Powertrip festival, ook door toedoen van een indrukwekkend podium met ongelooflijke visuals en verbluffende sound. 'k Weet niet of zo'n podium financieel haalbaar is voor Graspop, maar is ideaal om middelmatige bands op te tunen. In Californië klonk zelfs Gun's 'n Roses het eerste halfuur zeer goed.

(New York, NY) – GRAMMY®-winning, progressive music titans Dream Theater are announcing the return of drummer Mike Portnoy to the group. Portnoy will reunite with guitarist John Petrucci and bassist John Myung – the trio formed the band at the Berklee College Of Music in 1985 – along with longtime members, vocalist James LaBrie and keyboardist Jordan Rudess. Dream Theater will be going into the studio to begin working on their 16th studio album and the first with Portnoy since 2009’s Black Clouds & Silver Linings.

“I understand Dream Theater’s decision to get Mike Portnoy back at this time,” states Mike Mangini. “As was said from Day 1, my place was not to fill all the roles that Mike held in the band. I was to play the drums in order to help the band carry on. My main role of keeping our live show working tightly on a nightly basis was an intense and rewarding experience. Thankfully, I got to experience playing music with these iconic musicians, as well as some fun times laced with humor. I also really enjoyed spending lots of time with the crew. En ondertussen is ook die 2e show (met Psychonaut als voorprogramma) op topsnelheid uitverkocht. Hopelijk hebben de mensen die hier kaartjes wilden er kunnen bemachtigen!

Is me gelukkig gelukt, Doodseskader nog nooit gezien en was wel tof geweest, maar als je Psychonaut ervoor in de plaats krijgt, is dat enkel mooier.

Novelists was wel echt enorm gestegen in populariteit, dus ik denk niet dat die -the word alive- groter waren.
Alleen kun je de vraag stellen met hun line-up wissel of dit nog zo zal zijn. Deze werd toch niet goed ontvangen voorlopig (comments op sociale media)

Ik moet bekennen dat ik er wel blij mee ben. Niks tegen Mangini maar om één of andere reden was voor mij de fun er af, de laatste jaren.
