Good news ! Prophets of Rage at Nova Rock festival (ten days before RW) !

Zouden die subben of derde plaats, kan eventueel wel bij Pearl Jam / Green Day dag staan of is er meer kans dat zo'n act op GMM staat?

Ga je gang, graag, altijd leuk!

Zal er is werk van maken als ik tijd heb, al zijn m'n photoshop skills niet zoals die van dat andere forum haha (coachella.com/forum was dat gewoon..)

Kan dit als afsluitende dance-act of is dit dan sowieso de volwaardige headliner?

Misschien in combinatie met een ‘mindere’ headliner (‘minder’ in de zin van diegene van de vier headliners die het minste volk op de been zou brengen), bv. Kings of Leon.

The xx er net voor zou echt geweldig zijn, maar ondanks al die theorieën etc zijn zij wel diegene die nog steeds alles beslissen en dan mag er een '97-'07-'17 theorie zijn, is nog altijd geen bevestiging.. Ik geef 't eigenlijk niet zoveel kans al zag ik al verschillende keren passeren dat Glasto echt z'n best doet om ze binnen te halen, dus who knows..

Btw, ik zie ook Rancid bij Novarock staan. Zou ook een leuke zijn voor op Werchter. Ze stonden vorig jaar op groezrock dus zou nu zomaar kunnen.

Ik begin die Daft Punk onzin wat irritant te vinden. Zon website kan iedereen maken. Waarom zou je in godsnaam geloven dat dat echt is?

Ach, het schijnt dat er dit keer best wat moeite in is gestoken. Met broncodes die een leek niet kan achterhalen, maar die verwijzen naar locaties van steden en subpagina die aftelt naar een datum van bekendmaking.

Blijft ogenschijnlijk het werk van een overijverige, maar technisch goed onderlegde fan met teveel tijd te doden.

Btw, ik zie ook Rancid bij Novarock staan. Zou ook een leuke zijn voor op Werchter. Ze stonden vorig jaar op groezrock dus zou nu zomaar kunnen.

Rancid op Werchter zou ronduit belachelijk zijn.
Hoeveel gemiddelde Werchter fans (lees als onder de 30) kent Rancid nog buiten als ze punkrockers zijn?
Reken daar nog eens bij dat zowat alle Belgische punkrockers wel jaarlijks op Groezrock zitten, dus nog maar net gezien + dat die Werchter haten wegens al het commerciële radio-materiaal er staat.

Rancid super cool! Maar op Werchter zou belachelijk zijn!


Mijn top 3:
The Strokes, Gorillaz, Cloud Nothings (al is die laatste te klein voor Werchter en wens ik ze ook niet toe op een festival als Werchter te staan) zou zo een beetje een geval Parquet Courts op Pinkpop zijn. Geen idee waarom ik ze dan heb ingevuld eigenlijk

System of a Down at Download Paris, Aerosmith, Linkin Park and Prophets of Rage at Hellfest, Rolling Stones at Rock In Vienna, Green Day at Nova Rock, Guns'N'Roses, Radiohead, Kings of Leon and almost Pearl Jam coming to Europe, Daft Punk and Depeche Mode rumoured to tour... Where are we going now ??? Too many huge bands touring in 2017 in Europe seriously... There are different great choices for every major festival... And yet some bands which have not announced anything could appear in european festivals too (Arcade Fire, Red Hot Chili Peppers, U2...). Summer 2017 is going to be EPIC. I hope Rock Werchter will do the best choices to get the most perfect line-up !

There are a lot of great artists on tour in 2017, yes. But as a festival organiser you're still depending on the artists' choices. Plus several of these 'huge bands' can probably carry their own stadium show or their own day at the Werchter (or any other) park. Personally, of all the ones you've named, I expect only Linkin Park, Green Day, Radiohead, Kings of Leon, Pearl Jam and Arcade Fire are available and fitting for RW. And I don't see them booking all of these. As in previous years with lots of headliner material on tour, you'd better not get your hopes up or you will be disappointed for sure.

There are a lot of great artists on tour in 2017, yes. But as a festival organiser you’re still depending on the artists’ choices. Plus several of these ‘huge bands’ can probably carry their own stadium show or their own day at the Werchter (or any other) park. Personally, of all the ones you’ve named, I expect only Linkin Park, Green Day, Radiohead, Kings of Leon, Pearl Jam and Arcade Fire are available and fitting for RW. And I don’t see them booking all of these. As in previous years with lots of headliner material on tour, you’d better not get your hopes up or you will be disappointed for sure.

My only hope is Pearl Jam, the rest is bonus I stay down-to-earth, but I'm not insensitive to all these great news

Verwachting: Ik ben bang dat Green Day - Radiohead - KOL - PJ klopt. In dat geval enorm blij met Radiohead, maar andere bands heb ik de afgelopen jaren al vaker op RW gezien en dan heb ik liever iets exclusievers zoals Rolling Stones / U2 / Daft Punk. Met één van die drie zou ik al heel blij zijn als vervanger van KOL / Green Day. Netsky wel zeker als afsluiter main stage op een dag. Verder hoop ik op De Staat / SBCR / Woven Hand / Wilco / Ben Folds. We gaan het weer meemaken...

Na de overkill van vorige jaren verwacht ik KOL eigenlijk niet meteen hoor dit jaar ... Dan zou ik ze echt wel als grotere kanshebber voor Pukkelpop zien. Gezien de laatste edities, wordt toch duidelijk dat Pukkelpop toch wel nood heeft aan een sterke headliner en KOL past voor hen wel in dat plaatje denk ik.

Maar goed, we hebben het over Werchter, en als Green Day en Pearl Jam weer topgeruchten zijn, kan KOL dat net zo goed ook zijn.
