ANNOUNCING ANOTHER DOZEN ACTS HEADING TO DOWNLOAD
NEED A CURE FOR THE MONDAY BLUES? HAVE 12 NEW ACTS ADDED TO THE DOWNLOAD LINE UP.
Yes, we are packing even more artists into an already mammoth bill across the stages at Donington Park, because you can never have enough music.
The first new addition is the recently reformed Juliette and the Licks. Frontwoman Juliette Lewis and her band are back together to deliver more muscular rock sounds and explosive stage shows. (And a new album for the first time in a decade? Rumour has it…)
Speaking of big returns: British metal powerhouse Raging Speedhorn are returning to Download for the first time in over 10 years. Make sure you catch their set to help give them a hero’s welcome. And while The Amorettes are Download newcomers, we know you’ll make their punk-tinged rock’n’roll feel just as welcome.
Supergroup Wearing Scars are a mash-up of veteran metal bands, including Sacred Mother Tongue and Mutiny Within, ready to deliver the fresh sound of their 2015 debut album ‘A Thousand Words.’ The Wild Lies are returning after a kickass performance last year, punctuated by big guitar riffs and stadium rock choruses.
Nu-metal giants From Ashes to New are another band making their Download debut. We hope you’re ready for their modern take on rap-metal.
If you’re in need of feel-good street music, folk band Skinny Lister have you covered. Or if you need some punk-meets-sing-song, make sure to catch The Men That Will Not Be Blamed For Nothing.
Classic rock masters Inglorious are bringing a blast of the halcyon days of classic hard rock, while RavenEye will be whipping up a frenzy with their signature blend of rock blues and heavy-edged rock. Fusion metal band In Search of Sun offer a live show as incendiary as their name suggests.
Rounding out the new acts is Puppy, a trio that offer up playful and punchy grunge.
The dozen new acts are joining massive headliners Rammstein, Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden, along with a whole shedload of other bands you can check out on the full line up.
