De afgelopen weken is het behoorlijk los gegaan met touraankondigingen, line-ups van festivals In Europa (Primavera, Novarock, Rock am Ring/Rock im Park) en daarbuiten (Coachella). Van veel namen weten we nu dat ze onderweg zijn volgend jaar lente/zomer, wat de kansen voor RW doet stijgen. Soms is een touraankondiging gelijk fataal (denk aan de System of a Down-domper).
De nieuwe lijst bevat dus de nodige stijgers en nieuwe namen, veel daarvan zullen uiteindelijk op andere festivals (Graspop, Pukkelpop, Lokerse Feesten, Live is live, de losse Werchter evenementen) belanden. Voorlopig kunnen we nog dromen. Er gaat veel meer duidelijk worden als de festivals rondom RW met hun line-ups komen (Roskilde, Mad Cool, DTRH, NOS alive, Open'er, Main Square).

Was vorig jaar ook een gerucht, eerder geinspireerd nu op hoop dan op realiteitszin. Billie zal wellicht een break nemen en dan een nieuw vierde album opnemen. Nadien volgt dan een nieuwe wereldtour einde 2026 of 2027. Haar laatste tour 'Hit me hard and soft' startte in september 2024 en zal een einde nemen eind november 2025.
Is op meer gebaseerd dan hoop. Maar goed, is wereldje dat continu in beweging is en je alles op lange termijn moet bekijken.

Voor mij mag ze zeker komen naar RW. Ik vloek nog altijd dat ik destijds geen combi PKP ticket had gekocht om ook vrijdag Billie en Boygenius te zien ipv het dagticket PKP zondag (Killers en Florence and the Machine als aangekondigde headliners).
