De Stones zijn in het algemeen niet open over medische zaken. Meestal komt er na afloop een bedankje aan het personeel van het betreffende ziekenhuis voor de goede zorgen de de geboden privacy.
Ik denk het niet. Ze hebben niks aangekondigd en gaan normaal gesproken ook geen uitleg geven over een tour die nog niet officieel was aangekondigd.
Althans in 2017 en 2023 niet.
Het kan niets met tourpersoneel of locaties te maken hebben. Alles is wat dat betreft in kannen en kruiken. Blijft een beetje speculeren maar het laatste wat altijd gebeurt voor een tourbekendmaking is toch wel gezondheids check up. Dit is al eerder vermeld en heeft te maken ook met de verzekering voor het geval dat....
En nu wordt er dus gecanceld......
Bedoel ook geen officiële berichtgeving, want die komt er sowieso niet nu er nog geen tour was aangekondigd. Maar her en der zitten er op het forum toch wat mensen die iets dichter bij de band staan dan de gemiddelde fan. Wellicht kunnen zij iets achterhalen.

someone on IORR who always had very accurate infos regarding the Italy shows and seems to have first hand connections to a tour promoter just said the tour is only postponed and not off, let's hope this is also accurate...it would fit in the overall picture at least

Laten we hopen dat het meevalt en ze dan na de zomer enkele indoor concerten kunnen doen...

Hierin vermoed in ieder geval 1 goed ingevoerde bron dat The Rolling Stones klaar zijn met touren/optreden.

Heel erg jammer, de kans om ze toch nog een keer te zien na PP14 wordt wel erg lastig.

The Rolling Stones dit jaar toch niet op tournee door Europa
Het lijkt uitgesloten dat The Rolling Stones komende zomer door Europa toeren. Het gerucht ging dat de rockers weer zouden optreden, maar volgens diverse media, waaronder de Britse krant The Times, heeft de band een aanbod afgewezen.
Voorgestelde concerten in onder andere Parijs, Barcelona en Rome zouden niet kunnen doorgaan door complicaties met de concertlocaties zelf en het reizen ernaartoe. Daarnaast zou er een plan zijn geweest om vier optredens te geven in London Stadium, de thuishaven van voetbalclub Tottenham Hotspur, maar ook dat gaat volgens The Times niet door. Het is niet bekend waarom de eventuele tournee niet doorgaat.
Stones-leden Mick Jagger (81), Keith Richards (81) en Ronnie Wood (77) hopen volgens de krant volgend jaar wel op tournee te gaan door Groot-Brittannië en andere landen in Europa. De laatste keer dat de band hier een concertreeks gaf, was in 2022. Toen deden de Stones ook Amsterdam aan voor een optreden in de Johan Cruijff ArenA. Het was destijds de eerste keer in vijf jaar dat de band weer in Nederland optrad.
Vorig jaar traden The Rolling Stones wel op in Noord-Amerika. Die tournee stond in het teken van het album Hackney diamonds, dat in 2023 uitkwam. Dat was de eerste plaat met nieuwe muziek van de Stones sinds 2005 en bovendien ook het eerste werk zonder de in 2021 overleden drummer Charlie Watts.

Logistieke redenen geloof ik eigenlijk niks van. Dat is leuk voor de buitenwereld maar heb er sterk m'n twijfels over. Het plan was 14 concerten door Europa en dan ook nog meerdere dezelfde speelsteden. Natuurlijk het is bij de Stones een hele planning, gaat heel veel geld in om maar dat is bij een Coldplay U2 Metallica ACDC Springsteen niet anders. Tel daarbij op dat de Stones eigenlijk ook nog een nieuw album promoten wat goed ontvangen is. En net voor aankondiging wordt alles (14) gecanceld..... ik weet het niet hoor...

One of the main issues here was venues.
The tour start in Barcelona was including on site rehearsals starting May 5, with rigging of stage ahead of that. Then two shows, all in all two weeks at The Olympic Stadium in Barcelona. Camp Nou was out of question, it is delayed with renovation works, and The Rolling Stones have never performed there, it is the largest football stadium in Europe. The complexity with FC Barcelona in need of the stadium too was probably just one of several issues.
I could follow changes of dates all through January, shows in Paris, London, Rome, Munic and Paris were listed with different dates at different times by local press and insiders. Sure there were several issues.
Then they had several rules of the tour, including space for rescheduling, and when the structure of the tour does not fit into the performing artist's needs, after months of work, then there is a time for saying this can not be done at this time.
Venues in Europe are busy, it is hard to schedule and rechedule a tour during summer. They have been working on this tour for a long time. Then, it did not work out. Hopefully we get a tour later this year, or we get a new album, both are great options for us, the fans, as well as the band.

Blijft toch een vreemd verhaal maar zal best kloppen, jammer dat het allemaal niet doorgaat keek er echt naar uit.Hopelijk misschien iets in het najaar of in 2026.
