Panorama announces inaugural NYC lineup featuring Kendrick Lamar, LCD Soundsystem, and more
The music, art, and technology festival kicks off its first year in New York City this July
Panorama, a one-of-a-kind celebration of music, art, and technology, is coming to New York City this summer, and The Verge is the official media partner of its inaugural year. Presented by the people behind Coachella and the New Orleans Jazz Fest, Panorama will feature headlining artists Arcade Fire, Kendrick Lamar, and LCD Soundsystem, and it'll also include sets from Alabama Shakes, Sia and Run the Jewels. The festival will be held July 22-24 in Randall's Island Park, NYC; feast your eyes on the lineup below.
The diverse lineup represents a cross-section of artists pushing musical boundaries. Grammy winners Alabama Shakes will bring their futuristic soul to Friday night's lineup, joining avant-garde R&B artist FKA twigs and hitmaker/inspirational phenomenon DJ Khaled. On Saturday, critically lauded producer Blood Orange (aka Dev Hynes) and singer-songwriter Sufjan Stevens will lead in for rap MVP Kendrick Lamar, and pop innovator Sia, A$AP Rocky, and Run the Jewels are helping James Murphy's recently reunited LCD Soundsystem close out the festival on Sunday, July 24th. Plus, Murphy and 2ManyDJs' insane Despacio DJ rig will be going all weekend long.
In addition to the nonstop music, The Verge is partnering with Panorama to create Future Lab, an interactive, experiential installation that explores the possibilities of music and technology. Designed by renowned artists in collaboration with The Verge’s editors, Future Lab will showcase new technology in unconventional ways.
Passes go on sale this Friday, March 4th at 12:00PM EST on Panorama's website. General admission for all three days starts at $369, and VIP weekend packages are available in addition to transportation and layaway options.
