Some input from other threads:
Apparently, we need to lower our expectations for headlining acts in 2024.
A credible insider with confirmed and official ties to the Rock Am Ring organiser has shared some insight about the pool of headlining acts in 2024, citing a "very, very empty" headliner pool as the reason for late band announcements of other festivals. Specifically, there's a serious lack of heavy acts, according to this person.
Numerous credible eFestivals leakers have also claimed that Avenged Sevenfold / Fall Out Boy / QotSA are the headliners of Download UK, even before the latter were announced for Hellfest.
Now, I personally can't confirm or deny any of this, I just thought it would be wise to share this, given our speculation about potential headliners for 2024.
Here's my guess, with these takes in mind:
We will see a couple more sub-worthy bands and less stadium- or arena-acts like GNR, Slipknot, Maiden etc.
A7X / BMTH / QotSA / Judas Priest
Deep Purple? / 5FDP / ____ / ____
Alice Cooper, Megadeth, Bruce Dickinson, Electric Callboy are obvious choices for a North- or South-sub.
