Geen idee of het album hier al genoemd is, maar Czarface meets Frankie Pullitzer (alias van de acteur Tom Hardy) draai ik momenteel best wel grijs. Heel tof hiphopalbum.

Tipped by NME as one of the "100 artists to watch in 2025" before even releasing a record, chest. confirmed the hype with their debut EP All Good Things End (Howlin Banana, February 2025), then went on to open for DITZ, Jehnny Beth, Heavy Lungs and KNIVES, and tore through La Maroquinerie, Rock en Seine and Eurosonic Noorderslag. In autumn 2025, the band self-produced their debut album at Studio La Frette (Nick Cave, Arctic Monkeys), absorbing industrial, techno and shoegaze influences - with Otto, Cor and Entertainment as standout tracks. chest. is emerging as the spearhead of a French rock scene that's no longer afraid of anything.

Fontaines DC album of the year materiaal. Weet nog niet of ik het beter vind dan Skinty Fia, maar het album doet wel een gooi naar persoonlijke favoriete FDC album.

The Avalanches hun nieuwe is... Veel.

Fontaines bij de eerste luisterbeurt niet volledig overtuigd, wel een aantal straffe songs op. Maar misschien groeit het nog wel. Zeker geen slechte plaat in ieder geval.

Angèle daarentegen wel echt helemaal verliefd op geworden. Dat nummer met Soulwax is om duimen en vingers bij af te likken. Heel benieuwd naar die liveshow.

Ik vind Dopamine Chamber juist wél nog wat lekkerder dan verwacht. Had er eigenlijk al niet zo heel veel zin meer in, was (na het voor mij teleurstellende optreden op Lowlands) wel even een beetje klaar mee, maar op deze plaat vind ik het cleanere geluid heel goed werken.

Dat is op zich geen nieuws toch?

Ben wel benieuwd hoe deze gaat landen. De vorige was heel goed, al heb ik 'm vooral het eerste jaar grijsgedraaid en grijp ik er niet meer zoveel op terug. Qua lange termijn replay value zet ik de eerste twee vaker op.

Ik vind in ieder geval de gekozen thematiek erg tof, mijn iPod Classic gebruik ik nog altijd, een van de mooiere uitvindingen ooit gedaan.

Langs de andere kant was het 8u en juist na Dopamine Chamber geluisterd. Straks in de auto een nieuwe kans!
