- The Neighbourhood: Wie?
- Alex Warren; Gewoon nee.

No Billie Eilish at RW 2027. And this is the reason why. She is still working on a new album, and the timing for a 'surprise' album and tour is as follows:
ROSALIA announces a new album on October 21, 2025; this album, Lux, will be released on November 7, and the tour surrounding Lux is announced on December 4, so there are six weeks between the announcement of the new album and the tour. Billie Eilish's album will likely not be released until the first half of 2027, too late for festivals like RW, Mad Cool, or other July festivals. But who knows, it might still be feasible for PKP or Reading.

Everything doesn't work the same way for every act, nothing based on that rules her out unless it's ITK information.
She can also tour without a new album.
Only need a couple of singles, I dont think before a new album on the way though looks great.
Everything depends on Glastonbury. There is also a chance that she will simply do Glastonbury without a rolled-out PR campaign for that album (but perhaps just a single, like with Lorde last year?) and tour North America in the summer / early autumn, to then scour festivals with that record in 2028 or something.

Glastonbury is a telling point but it's the total decider. Billie is huge and Glastonbury have a rep in these particular huge years of not having crossover simply because they can get a huge stadium act now that other festivals can't necessarily.
I'm guessing there will definitely be a pop headliner touring who isn't entirely clear on yet. Pinkpop needs at least one decent headliner too, haha.

I think Pinkpop myself will have Blink-182, their tour gap ready is too obvious, PJ if they are about also make too much sense and one other and I hunch that one other is could be one that shares a headline space here but they have never played Pinkpop before.
If you look at it based on taste, yes. But based on ticket sales and streams, it would just be a strong top end?
Much of the prediction on here is based on taste but not the real world outside sales. Streams doesn't even dictate enough, we all click on artists and songs to check out multiple times but it doesn't mean you are going to buy a ticket for them. I might for eg listen to Nickelback every now and then but I'm not paying for that tour haha

Many names are mentioned as possible headliners or sub-acts, but I often get the feeling that they are (still) too lightweight for that.

- Phoebe Bridgers: huge fan, but please don't let her play before Muse on the Main. Preferably for the sub, or even better: Barnhead!!
- Turnstile: their track record is impressive and I understand that this is one of those future headliners, but please don't put them on as headlining just yet, but as a sub for Muse, for example.
- The Neighbourhood: Who? Okay, okay, I'm too much of a boomer to see the point in this, but it's just not RW's usual practice to immediately turn a band like that into a sub. What I do see happening is them moving up if someone cancels, because they apparently fall into that grey area after all. Not for me, at least.
- Charlie XCX; I really appreciate her, but still too lightweight as a headliner? I'm probably mistaken here, but it wouldn't quite feel right to me if she closed the Main Stage for a day.
- Alex Warren; Just no. Not as head, not as sub.

Furthermore, is there the question of whether Lorde is an option this year? And Florence?

I wouldn't see phoebe more than sub max on a strong day, and I doubt it would be the Muse day, given the riffs for the newer stuff too. Depends how they think extra tickets currently would go but she's a 3rd down main act based on multiple acts this year or below a co-headline two.

Turnstile before Muse I would doubt a lot, they have havs OATW, GVF and Kasabian in recent times, different vibe totally, even Fender would be pushing that.

Finally someone says the honest thing about Charli, second down maybe yes if they ever book her but top and suggestions outright no chance.

Alex Warren I get it but the date is there, the gap is there, the Capaldi vibe they booked already has been done, he sells tickets and has a similar tour plan to others. He won't play below sub or below co-headliners at the very least.
