En je krijgt er The Bug in daglicht bij.

Vraag het mij eigenlijk ook af hoe ze dat aan die prijs kunnen, lijkt mij dat ofwel de faciliteiten minimaal zijn of de subsidies maximaal.

Way Out West (SE) met nieuwe namen.

Way Out West is fast approaching, and on the ticket front several categories have already sold out – including 3–Day Youth Tickets. Today, six new exciting names are added to the lineup – Jonathan Johansson, Timbuktu & The Rakiem Walker Project, Greentea Peng [UK], Omar Rudberg, jasmine.4.t [UK], and Jeshi [UK].

Greentea Peng’s cosmic neo-soul could practically be prescribed as medicine. With her hazy blend of ’90s trip-hop, R&B, reggae, and psychedelic rock, the London artist made a huge impact with her acclaimed debut album Man Made in 2021. After the equally praised mixtape Greenzone 108 in 2022, Greentea Peng returned earlier this year with TELL DEM IT’S SUNNY, where she found the courage to dig even deeper – exploring both the material world and the spiritual one.

During the stage adaptation of Timbuktu’s critically acclaimed book A Drop of Midnight, he began a collaboration with the relentlessly funky Harlem group The Rakiem Walker Project – a partnership that, for obvious reasons to anyone who witnessed their performance together, has grown stronger. This summer, following the release of Timbuktu’s tenth album ‘har berg har vatten (一零一)’, Timbuktu and The Rakiem Walker Project will reunite to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the iconic album ‘Alla vill till himmelen men ingen vill dö’ – this time at Way Out West.

In 2025, it takes a lot to become a pop star. Artist, dancer, and actor Omar Rudberg has the full package: ambitious vision, a voice to die for, avant-garde style, and raw emotional depth. A radiant presence that has earned Omar devoted fans across the globe. Over the past 15 years, Jonathan Johansson has established himself as one of Sweden’s most vital and acclaimed artists. He has released a total of eight critically praised albums, each unveiling more layers and dimensions of his urgent artistry – broader, bolder, brighter, darker, and more intimate all at once. His latest, ‘Vita skelett & vita pärlor’, is no exception, and has received glowing reviews from a united chorus of critics.

Also joining the lineup are UK rapper Jeshi and jasmine.4.t – produced by boygenius.

Ik ken Give Me Beauty enkel van die remastered versie , de originele is ook niet beschikbaar op bandcamp of youtube van Ef dus ik veronderstel dat zij zelf ook de remaster prefereren. Op youtube staan er wel een aantal videos die op basis van de publicatie datum niet de remaster kunnen zijn maar heb nog niet geluisterd of deze dan significant anders klinken.

Geen zorgen: er is ook nog gewoon nieuws voor dit jaar.

Wacken Open Air (DE) heeft traditiegetrouw met pasen een heleboel namen aangekondigd. Wel de kleinere, maar toch.

Easter has always been celebrated in many different eras and cultures, and anyone who has followed us over the past few years knows: Today we have the next wave of bands!

This Easter, it’s all about the eggs in the nest — and just like those colorful and diverse Easter treats, the bands we’ve got for you today come in all shades and styles.

If your heart beats for anything from Hard Rock and Glam to Power Metal, you won’t be disappointed: Denmark’s number one export D-A-D, W:O:A veterans SKYLINE, Sweden’s NESTOR, and the bagpipe-wielding spandex ninjas BAD LOVERZ are ready to rock your world. Also joining the lineup: the seasoned French veterans of NIGHTMARE.

Power Metal clearly runs in the Hansen family’s blood — none other than Kai Hansen’s son, Tim, will make his debut on the Holy Ground with his band INDUCTION, carrying the legacy forward. Also paying us a visit: the Viennese quartet VULVARINE and Bavarian rockers VOODOO KISS. For a dash of psychedelia, look no further than Sweden’s retro-infused four-piece GRAVEYARD.

If you’re more into hard-boiled than soft, you might want to skip ahead — because this next section is pure brutality:
We’re talking Czech Metalcore from DYMYTRY, old-school Death Metal from Denmark’s NECKBREAKKER, and top-tier Beatdown from Belgium’s NASTY. It gets even more intense with Belarusian juggernauts EXTERMINATION DISMEMBERMENT, serving up relentless Slam Death Metal. Rounding out this heavy segment: Bavarian Death Metallers SEASONS ON BLACK.

A bit more melodic — but still hard-hitting — are FIT FOR A KING with their Melodic Metalcore, and FROM FALL TO SPRING from Saarland bringing Post Hardcore into the mix.

Some folks just like their Easter eggs painted black — and for them, we’ve got Swedish Black Metal legends DARK FUNERAL, along with NON EST DEUS. Dark Metal heroes SACRIFIRE are also throwing their hat in the ring.

If your cravings lean toward Crossover, Horror Punk, or Nu Metal, you’ll be in good hands with DROWNING POOL, WEDNESDAY 13, and SKYND. UK’s GRAPHIC NATURE will also be making their W:O:A debut — as will their comrades from Bielefeld, SOULBOUND. And last but not least, legendary Alternative Metal outfit HELMET absolutely belongs in your Easter basket.

Some of those Easter eggs might even end up with a splash of colorful hair, thanks to cult Punk icons UK SUBS and Seattle’s very own Punk ‘n’ Roll crew ZEKE.

For a bit of humor, expect appearances from our beloved MAMBO KURT and German comedy legend TORSTEN STRÄTER.

If you’re thinking “Alright, take it easy now” — you’re not entirely wrong. Because to wrap it all up, the legendary Jazz pianist and composer Joja Wendt will grace us with a very special Alien Keys Show.

Oslo Jazz Festival (NO) heeft weer nieuwe namen aangekondigd. Eyolf Dale Trio (14 augustus), Sondre Moshagen Lightning Trio (ft. Immanuel Wilkins (16 augustus) en Mette Henriette (14 augustus).

Øyafestivalen (NO) met nieuwe namen. Ook komt Getdown Services naar Øyanatt.

Vi nærmer oss innspurten av programmeringen, men det er fortsatt flere Øya-godbiter i vente. Fem spennende og aktuelle navn legges til på en allerede variert og innholdsrik festivalplakat. Ingen andre steder får man så mange, og gode, valgmuligheter i den norske festivalsommeren. Vi anbefaler at du sjekker ut alle fem i Tøyenparken.

Oslo Jazz (NO) kondigt Arcanum, het superkwartet bestaande uit Arve Henriksen, Trygve Seim, Anders Jormin og Markku Ounaskari, en Cosmic Swing Orchestra aan.

Als ik me niet vergis, is dit ook een nieuwe. Piknik i Parken (NO) kondigt Ella Marie aan voor 12 juni.

Oslo World (NO) kondigt het Koreaanse ADG7 aan en The Zawose Queens. Lekker man.

Tromsø World (NO) kondigt op hun beurt dan weer Daniel Herksedal & Ensemble Noor aan. ADG7 komt ook naar Tromsø.

INmusic (HR) maakt op basis van een publieke stemming drie nieuwe namen bekend: Dimitri's Bats, Hayes & Y en Bhukhurah.

Als onderdeel van Øyafestivalen (NO) wordt ook Øyanatt gehouden en daarvoor is So Good nu aangekondigd.
