Right okay fair. If what's said for Charli is true then next year it's probably unlikely. Fontaines would be their biggest booking by some way provided they are there. Fender I think would depend if WOW and Sziget will give him a spot he'd want to bother going over, and then then Pukkelpop would want to book him anyway who never have. It would look quite damning for him to go from would be headline, to a then forced co-headline to Pukklepop. Had he have subbed Werchter and seen hoe that went before being at this point it would be different but he has never even played some countries.

It might be but the last time they both announced it was different acts wasn't it?. If it is though, you may want to be halt on The Strokes, their last and only show it seems ever in Czech was 2002 with a tiny capacity, be very surprising if they booked them as one of the bigger acts. I don't think anyone has even tried to book them there since. Two of their headliners this year played 20k venues, Lorde and Teddy didn't but they didn't headline.
Lots of presumptions though. Sure if you looked at every booking there’s a lot of people that haven’t played certain places for a long time.
Only have to wait a couple of days to find out anyhow and everything is going to ramp up over the coming couple of weeks
normally they would tease, Colours of Ostrava (not Astrava). They have changed their date on the festival calendar. This year the festival was from the 15ht tot the 18th of July, next year from the 21st till the 24th of July (so one week later). It can be a shared name but it can also be coincidence.
It is, they did at least do a 2k cap venue though then, not a 500. And Werchter rebooted them back in 2020 but to poor tickets sales. There is no sign anywhere in Czech have tried to book The Strokes for any event in 25 years, let alone a headline slot.

Likely so. It's been a mix of headliners and undercard options but I do think the date switch changed things. The week after for MC and NOS is close enough but 3 weeks difference now covers Lolla Berlin period. The Strokes definitely won't be here from second weekend in June until 3rd week of July either, they may go and true which they have before but the hunch is they are different acts regardless of who it is.

Strokes kunnen toch nog perfect een festival hier spelen eerste weekend van juli, lijkt me niet zo n probleem. En vooral is een naam die werchter wel zal boeken als ze in juni in de buurt zijn

Is this not the same ziggo dome though that booked charli xcx who Werchter aren't going to book but Mad Cool the weke after are? Countries next to each other mean nothing, otherwise Sam would be actually be able to do a gig in Luxembourg given its right next to Belgium but he can't.

For a start 3 of their top acts this year played Werchter in some one, their first big act announced definitely won't be. I've said they could go elsewhere and return and it said the hunch was it's different acts.

You mean like two previous occasions over two years on her biggest album where she did Roskilde twice, once leaving everyday of Werchter weekend free? and Opener over the same weekend? Surely instead of doing Friday and Saturday in those two one year, you arrange that to play all 3....like LOTS of artists do. The reason you wouldn't do so is by booking it like KOL have booked the 02, either they don't want to play what they are offered or the festival aren't interested in offering it. This needing to be available is a really poor a delusional point full of excuses.
