Ik heb deze vandaag beluisterd en kan me er geheel bij aansluiten! Heel fijne, gelaagde plaat dit. Ze vinden een supermooie balans tussen breekbare schoonheid en schurende ongemakkelijkheid. Intens werkje, zonder dat het perse heel hard is ofzo. En uitstekende vocals!

Ik pluk het van een aantal websites, bandcamp en ik volg de nodige bands op hun kanalen (bandcamp, insta....).

Hesse Kassel - Morir Saltando [avant-garde post-rock]

Oké, deze is wel echt top hoor. Hun debuutalbum was al heel tof, maar ze klonken af en toe wel echt net iets te veel als de Chileense BC,NR. Daar zijn ze nu wel echt wat meer van afgestapt. Ook meteen openen met een klapper van 15 minuten dat denk ik wel hun beste nummer tot nu toe moet zijn. Heerlijk album. Ga hem nog een aantal keer vaker moeten luisteren, maar ik denk dat deze wel hoog gaat scoren op mijn AOTY-eindejaarslijstje.

Er komt echt zoveel goed spul uit Chili de laatste paar jaar joh.

USERS - Welcome to Civilisation (Punk/Post-Punk/Alternative - 01/05/2026)

For USERS, punk isn’t escapism or attitude - it’s a shared space for processing through music. Known for their intense live shows, the band dissolves the boundaries between stage and audience, turning the music into a collective experience rather than a performance. “It’s not about ego, it’s about the community we create,” says guitarist Esbjørn. “Standing together in anger, grief, responsibility and solidarity - instead of carrying it all alone - that is what punk is.”

This same approach runs through Welcome to Civilisation. The music moves between anger and vulnerability, drawing threads to bands like IDLES, Rage Against The Machine, Lambrini Girls and Soft Play - but rooted in something distinctly political and personal. The sound on Welcome to Civilisation is very raw and honest. Just like the messages packed into the lyrics. Nothing is sugarcoated, like the themes the album is consumed by.
