In hindsight, I thought it was confirmed that Graspop was the main goal in 2020, but the band themselves suggested doing both festivals again.

I think the bigger point is, if they don't book hypothetically for whichever reason, PJ, Turnstile or QOTSA who are playing a festival very rarely if ever shared at headliner level for Werchter, then Muse are the heaviest it gets with then FNM, it would look very odd one out on the lineuo and likely in their day.

Laat maar. Was effe mijn gsm niet aan het volgen en ineens pak prive berichten met de vraag of Dave Grohl op de NEST zou verschijnen. Was zelfs helemaal niet mee op dat moment.

Losing Turnstile to Graspop after Faith No More would be a deep blow, I must say. Maybe they won't be touring in Europe in July anymore, we don't know that yet. Faith No More certainly will, though. Graspop really needs to stop with that double main stage!

Hopefully, this will be compensated for by other guitar bands (also at the top of the bill). But which ones are there rumors about? I can't think of anything beyond The Strokes (if QOTSA isn't an option either).

I said the same thing a few years ago. Graspop is increasingly encroaching on Rock Werchter's territory, while Rock Werchter is increasingly pulling pop artists out of the pond. Pinkpop had already lost the Champions League ticket for guitars before the pandemic; Rock Werchter will follow.

What do people really really?
They've gone from LP, Deftones, Green Day, Simple Minds then spinning Fender, pushing KOL, with Olivia, Noah and Gracie

To

Mumford, The XX, Lewis Capaldi and booking Halsey below co-headliners.

To

already booking Sam, Tame Impala and Sombr.

This looks the outlook when the PJs. LPs and Green Day's aren't about. And the more they book the really poppy Noahs and Gracies, certain others will see theirselves at home elsewhere.

Isn't the reaction here being a bit too dramatic? You have one edition where several pairs of RW candidates are playing at Graspop at the same time, and people are already talking about a trend that we won't get any guitars at all soon and Graspop will become a rock festival.

While Blink isn't in Europe until Werchter, the same goes for Turnstile if Werchter misses them. Faith No More is a band that fits Graspop just as well as Werchter (don't forget that they would never have played RW without Foo Fighters dropping out). And RW is a favorite of Josh Homme, so if they are missing, there must be a good reason behind it.

To be honest they grabbed The Offspring late this year too and while I don't think their fit in with booking FNM and Parkway Drive and the likes, it's better for them than Charli XCX chasers, Noah and such.

The two days ticket idea is very obvious that they want to experiment more than maybe people would like and offer them for example for people where Green Day and LP hit but Sam and Olivia for eg don't. Where Sam and Tame Impala hit different to a Muse and someone.

I actually prefer Sam to Tame Impala.
