I know things change etc… and nothing is guaranteed but , does the app put turnstile as a possible barn header? Because it’s changed and they’re now below Angele!

Probably a line through qotsa then, and a line through my RW, unfortunately.

I really don't see why you wouldn’t announce them by now, literally on Monday. Not Tuesday to Thursday all.go by and they don't fit a joint match to Fender either really.
There was also a lot of demand for The Strokes here. So why don't they listen to us?:(

Because The Strokes won't get what you want them to.
You're going to see that 5SoS is joining Turnstile on that Thursday.
No you aren't lol
They really are too small for that

See MA, so are they. See Sam Fender, so is he.
Same audience as TBNH, it seems.
And NBT being their same PP day
Pfff, if 5sos were to join as a sub, then as far as I'm concerned, it would really be the saddest lineup of subs I've seen at Werchter. Yeah, even (to my taste) worse than 2024.
Lineup, not just subs
5SOS is no way a sub. Come on. They're probably there, indeed, but that's really third to last at most or something.

Most likely yes, I would expect PP for eg to be Blink, NBT, 5SOS and The Neighbourhood to be on second stage. It could however but NBT on second.
Oops, indeed. But it didn't seem sold out to me? It was different with TNBH…

NBT haven't even told out their top two AFAS tier yet they are still sub. Let's just be genuine across the board.
I couldn't care less whether 5SOS comes or not, I just hope it doesn't come at the expense of better pop artists like Adela.

5SOS over crap like Adela all day. Another 5 minutes of fame and not for the music
Werchter has been doing the same thing for yeeeears. Namely, booking the better pop-rock artists of the moment. For the past 20 years, for the absolute biggest names, they have often fallen back on a small circle of bands (Pearl Jam, Kings Of Leon, Editors, ...) that we (boomers, old farts, 35+s, 40+s, moms and dads... call it what you will) all felt at some point like 'again', to the point where we even shouted: book something new for a change. ;) On top of that, a few up-and-coming bands appeared every year, bands that we all sensed could well be the headliner of tomorrow. We now feel that 'the' headliner of today no longer quite aligns in terms of style, taste, genre... with what we like to listen to. That does not mean, however, that RW is selling its soul. RW is doing what it has always done.

For me personally, over the last 5 or 6 years I have felt very clearly that the 'new' generation of headliners no longer fully aligns with my own preferences. Some years more than others, though the last edition was truly a top year again. It can't be a hit every year. After the 2025 edition, I really felt that I needed to start looking more towards Bospop, or a day at RW instead of a weekend, or Cactus, or... It remains a trade-off for each of us whether the money you spend on it gives you sufficient return. For me, in that 21-year combination, there have been years where that trade-off was evaluated somewhat more negatively, and other years more positively... that's just how it goes.

With Muse, Sam Fender, MA, Turnstile, Tame Impala... and hopefully Phoebe Bridgers, Robyn, Chemical Brothers, Patti Smith... for me, this year's line-up isn't such a monstrosity at all. So I happily bought a combo ticket again. It's a shame that this forum is evolving more and more into a complaining den, where there is little room for musical critical thinking anymore, and the discussion (often fueled by 3 or 4 whiners) is too quickly reduced to "Rock Werchter hasn't been rock for a long time," or "TikTok music is by definition TikTok trash because it doesn't resonate with my environment"... Accepting that people have a different opinion, or even better; occasionally giving yourself the chance to learn the opinions of others and adjusting your own, is so difficult these days, unfortunately also in the realm of music nowadays. That being said. From tomorrow, back to positive vibes as far as I'm concerned.✌️🤟

It's the worst top end currently the festival have probably ever booked, and that's not exaggerating either. 2015 or around their might pop in to say hi but it's not clear cut. It's shameful compared to 25 and 26

They can't go in the barn because Jimmy said they won't.

Just saw that too👀

That could just a case of things switched. Angele is 3rd, Turnstile 3rd so makes no difference
At Charlotte de Witte's, the area outside the barn was packed with people. Genuinely even more so than at the names mentioned above.
And also those names above were a mix of barn head and barn sub so it's not even relatable. Byrne doesn't play the bigger venues making him as huge as people make out.
