Fair enough. Personally I figured, with eight shows over the course of a year (6 in the US, 2 in the UK), we can consider them "un-retired".

A while ago someone on fetsivslsunited claimed that GNR would play Nova in 2026. Given the timing of the announcement however, I’m expecting some bands that we’ve talked about the past few days and hours. Limp Bizkit, Bad Omens, Alice Cooper, maybe Iron Maiden?

They had a smaller first announcement for their 2024 edition, if I remember correctly. Other than that, you're right of course. I don't think they'll deviate from that formula for 2026.

I would add Sleep Token to that "redelijk waarschijnlijk"-list. There's no dates announced yet but with a new album in their bag as well as their RAR/DL exclusivity in 2025, they are all but certain to play some more festivals in 2026.

I am a little surprised not to see Megadeth in any of these announcements. Didn't we consider them a certainty for summer festivals?

Good God! What a fat line-up this would be. Hopefully APC and Lynyrd Skynyrd get confirmed later on. I'm still upset about the Mudvayne/Breaking Benjamin leaks from 2024.

As I've argued for the past two years, they are ready for the headline slot.

Yeah that happened a couple too many times haha. With Maiden, their tour has a big RAR-shaped gap in its schedule, they haven’t announced any shows in southern Germany and they‘re touring under Dreamhaus which is the company behind Rock Am Ring. Still curious to see what we can learn from next...
