Hm, Twisted Sister seem to headline most festivals they are playing. I really don't know why, honestly. Doesn't strike me as a bigger name than, say, The Offspring or Alice Cooper, even with the reunion-bonus.

I was thinking about this when Volbeat got announced as the final headliner for Copenhell and I was checking the comments on social media. This band sells a shitload of records and concert tickets, yet whenever they are announced by a festival, people are groaning and no one seems to like them...

Huh, I may have misjudged Volbeat a little then. Over here in Germany, they are selling out their shows in no-time, headlining Rock am Ring etc. Sabaton aren’t quite there yet but I guess that’s different in every country.

That's a very interesting question, indeed. As far as I understand, Volbeat are the biggest of the expected names so far? I don't think that they can carry that Thursday on their own - at least not with a lengthy tour just months before the festival. They would either need a strong co-headliner...

Rob Zombie's Spotify lists a new album for the 26th of February, the official announcement seems to be imminent. Let's hope this marks the beginning of a new tour cycle for him. I would love to see him show up at Graspop again.
